This video takes the learner through the various OSHA guarding requirements for hand fed ripping and cross-cutting. It also shows the correct way to rip, crosscut, and miter using a variety of table saws. You'll also learn about push sticks and featherboards and their appropriate uses. Dr. Cliffe will also demonstrate the narrow ripping jig which enables the operator to use the guard when ripping narrow strips. Handy tips about how to sweep scraps away from the blade safely and how to determine where the blade will cut the wood without raising the guard.
