This video also includes: discussion with the owner before construction begins; going over site plane, cut sheet, and blueprint; site access; placement of the house on the lot; staking out the continuous perimeter foundation; set back and over-dig stakes; proper excavation procedure keeping safety and access for concrete trucks in mind; ordering concrete; erecting aluminum forms on the footings; height differences of basement and garage walls; proper placement of footings with the use of a plumb bob and the set back stakes; squaring and moving aluminum forms on footers; reinforcing foundation walls with rebar; inspections needed by local code authority; discussion on subsoil conditions and some problems; beam pockets and notches for windows; placement of concrete, first in the footers then in the walls; placement of mudsill anchors; striking off forms; strip forms with safety and efficiency.
